Polish Government Establishes Group to Investigate Epstein Documents

(MENAFN) Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Tuesday that the country will form a special analytical group to review newly released US documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, after media reports highlighted references to Poland and Polish nationals, according to reports.

Tusk framed potential Russian involvement as a matter of national security, noting that if a foreign intelligence service had facilitated or exploited Epstein’s network, it could indicate the existence of compromising material on prominent figures.

Speaking before a cabinet meeting, Tusk said the task force would determine whether any of the material warrants a Polish investigation. This includes examining whether Polish girls or women may have been exploited and reviewing claims that Epstein’s network could have been used for blackmail operations potentially connected to Russian intelligence.

Polish outlets have highlighted “Polish threads” in the latest US disclosures, including an email from one of Epstein’s recruiters referencing “girls” in Poland and mentioning Krakow, a city in southern Poland.

Tusk said Polish prosecutors and security agencies would seek cooperation from US authorities regarding any material related to Polish victims or activity on Polish soil.

Reports indicate that the files include references to individuals with Polish connections, such as a woman allegedly corresponding extensively with Epstein and traveling to the US at his expense, as well as a person identified as an estate manager in Florida.
